The year was 1949. A young, ambitious man named Charles Lazier had created a flavor formulation that would soon take the beverage industry by storm. It was a citrus lemonade flavor that would become known as Sun Drop® Citrus Soda. His new flavor craze would go on to be emulated by a couple other brands you may have heard of: Mountain Dew® and Mello Yellow®.
Charles also created the wildly successful lemonade formula, Dair-E®. The company was built not only on innovative flavors but also world-class execution in producing them.
Charles was the ultimate entrepreneur, turning down multiple offers to sell his company while being intensely protective of his proprietary formulas. With fierce independence, boldness, and focus, Charles led Rocket Products for over 60 years.
In June of 2022, the company transitioned to Betty Honaker, President and CEO. She was hand-picked and mentored by Charles to carry on the knowledge and legacy of Rocket Products. She joined Rocket Products in 2004 and helped steer the company through Charles’ latter years. Tim White, VP Sales joined the company in early 2017, bringing decades of beverage sales experience, and has led the company through significant growth. Betty and the team are committed to providing Rocket’s customers with the highest quality products, best in class service with a personal touch as they continue Rocket Products’ upward trajectory.
